ADAMS, Devin Ruth, born Sept. 2, 1979 in San Antonio, TX, and died September 25, 2006 in Oxnard, CA. She was a member of the Keene, TX church. Survivors: mother and stepfather, Diana and Kenneth Mahon of Burleson, TX; grandparents, Audrey and Lawson Simpson of Granbury, TX; father, Fred Adams of Pacolet, SC.

ARTHUR, Marie Kinzey, born December 30, 1922 in Magnet Cove, AR, and died May 24, 2007 in Malvern, AR. A retired school teacher, she was a member of the Hot Springs church. Her memorials will go to the hot Springs Seventh-day Adventist School. Survivors: son Bob Arthur and wife Annette, of Bauxite, AR; daughter Marsha Salzman and husband Mike, of Shreveport, LA; sisters Pauline Harper of Florida, Flo Lloyd of Nevada, and Dorothy Young of California; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

BATCHELOR, Jesse J, born October 4, 1917 in Wilson, OK, and died April 14, 2007 in Desoto, TX. He was a member of the Desoto Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors: wife of 64 years, Julia, of Hutchins, TX; daughters Ann Adams of Texas City, TX and Carol Batchelor of Hutchins, TX; son, James Batchelor of Hutchins, TX; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

CAMPBELL, Everett Luther, born July 7, 1923 and died May 4, 2007 in Colorado Springs, CO. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the Hot Springs church. Survivors: son William Scott Campbell of Longview, TX; daughters, Christine Ann Whatley of Trout, LA, Bobbye Earle of Shreveport, LA, Sharon Godfrey of Bossier City, LA, and Deborah Dibble of Shreveport, LA; four step-children; 21 grand-children and 11 step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

CHRISTMAN, Donald Robert, born January 19, 1919 in Mount Vernon, OH and died November 2, 2006 in Redlands, CA. He is former president of the Texico Conference and former secretary of the Texas Conference. Survivors: wife of 63 years, Dorothy; four sons, Kenneth and wife Sally of Dayton, OH; Robert and wife Gaye of Loma Linda, CA; Ronald and wife Joyce of Silver Spring, MD; and Gerry and wife Ellen, of Weslaco, TX; and 10 grandchildren.

DENMAN, Joyce Marie Gosa, born September 11, 1937 in Memphis, TN, and died May 31, 2007 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of the Baton Rouge Berean church where she held numerous offices. Survivors: husband of 46 years , James, Jr.; daughter Pamela R. Craig of Baton Rouge, LA, sons Jeffrey L. of Baton Rouge, LA; and Mark T. and daughter-in-law Sharron of the Nashville, TN area. One grandson, Jonathan A. Craig; brother, John Gosa and wife Seletar; sister, Stella G. Johnson; aunt, Mary Ella Nichols, three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Driver, Glenda, born December 18, 1946 in Grand Tower, IL and died April 7, 2007 in Tecumseh, OK. She was a member of the Shawnee church and was buried in Shawnee, OK. Survivors: husband Gerry Driver of Tecumseh; son Jason Johnson of Napa, CA; daughter Davena Watson of Tecumseh; mother Bernice Craven of Shawnee; brothers Alfred Craven of Texarkana, TX and Charles Craven of Sour Lake, TX; sisters Judith Berenque of American Canyon, CA and Donna OneStar of Sister, ND; and one grandson.

ELLIOTT, Idabel, born June 23, 1928 in Ringwood, OK and died April 8, 2007 in Enid, OK. She was a member of the Enid Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors: husband, Robert; two sons, Dan Elliott of Enid, OK, and Joe Elliott and wife Barbara of Enid, OK; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

GARRETT, Gerald B., born January 24 1926 in Gotebo, OK and died April 11, in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a member of the Wichita Falls church and was laid to rest at Rosemont Cemetery in Wichita Falls, TX. Survivors: wife Wosemary Wiist Garrettt of Wichita Falls, TX; sons Larry Garrett of Cleburne, TX, and Randy Garret of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter Tammy Wagner of Shreveport, LA; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

IANCU, Viorelia C, born February 23, 1924 in Romania and died May 18, 2007 in Hot Springs, AR. A member of the Hot Springs church, Viorelia was laid to rest in New Buffalo, MI. Survivors: daughters Ana Iancu Matei of Hot Springs, AR, and Steliana Manaila of Forest Park, IL; sons Constantin Iancu of Downers Grove, IL and Daniew Iancu of Parkridge, IL; sisters Elisabeta Bonciu and Stela Ceteanu, both of Illinois; brother Daniel Ciocirian of Romania; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Shepard, Caroline Esther, born August 5, 1927 in El Paso, TX and died April 26, 2007 in Keene, TX. She was a member of the Keene church. Survivors: daughters Louise Willis of Keene and Frances Jenkins of Arlington, TX; son Louis Jones of Sage, AR; and five grandchildren.

THOMSON, Evelyn Pearl (Leffler), born Oct. 27, 1916 in Chicago, IL and died April 18, 2007 in St. Maries, ID. She was a member of the Keene, TX church. Survivors: son John Thomson and wife Bobbye; daughter Mary Jo Brand and husband Marc; sisters Ruth Sonsel and Dorothy Jenkins; brother Charles Leffler; three grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

UTLEY, Noma Belden, born July 24,1908 in Ft. Worth, TX, and died May 29, 2007 in Harlingen, TX. Belden, a descendant of Seventh-day Adventist composer, F. E. Belden, was a music teacher and the oldest member of the Harlingen church. Her husband, Dr. Ralph Utley, preceded her in death.

WILTSE, Helen Charlotte Johnson, born April 23, 1921 in Elm Creek, NE, and died May 25, 2007 in Rio Rancho, NM. She served the church many years as a children’s Sabbath School leader, deaconess, pianist, and organist. Survivors: husband of 63 years, Glenn Lea; daughter, Charlene Zeelau of Albuquerque, NM, son, Curtis Wiltse, of Martinsville, IN, son, Douglas Wiltse, of Lincoln, NE, sisters Irene Martinson and Elaine Thomas of California, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
